Default Generic Prototype Thread

should we have a separate thread for generic prototype stuff so we can make it easier to track restorations on specific cars?

Default Re: Generic Prototype Thread

Ed, perhaps you can edit your original post to track specific known Prototypes? OR I guess I can eh?

Known ZR-1/Corvette Prototypes the list includes cars that still exist and those destroyed

Since EX is the "VIN" and the P number is GM internal I will sort by EX. If no EX is present or available then by P number:

BGEX = Rosette Rivet Bowling Green installed Prototype.
POSTEX = Pop rivet assigned EX after Bowling Green.
I = Intact or somewhat intact
D = Destroyed
P = Some parts exist
U = Unkown
Number followed by a U is a paint code ie 81U is Red
Number followed by a 2 or a C is an interior code ie 192 is Black leather 19C is Black Cloth.

This was from an '88 I believe, long before ASR. They also had LTPWS in them. I installed this DIC in an '85 that belonged to a friend, its running around somewhere, lol.
