When you wish you were in your Z.

This is one of those times when I wished I was in the Z. This morning I was heading to work in my boring car. Mazda 626 and this guy in a black crossfire with an exhaust system kept reving his engine at me and accelerating ahead of me. And I'm thinking Oh please! I was thinking I'll bet I could take him in my 626. Boy wouldn't that be embarrasing. It's bark was far worse than it's bit. That crossfires acceleration was less than impressive to say the least. I don't think I would even waste my gas on him in the Z. Hummm! Yes I would. But it was wet and soupy out this morning and I don't like driving the king in that stuff. It's really strange that I only seem to run into bozos like that when I'm not in the Z. I just don't get it. Oh well.

He probably would have messed with you even in the ZR... assume he does not know what a ZR-1 is vs plain jane C4 BUT with that said if the Crossfire was a SRT-6 version those can be pretty quick (particularly with a few simple mods...supercharger pulley upgrade, CAI and sport exhaust/headers)...remember the SRT-6 engine is a AMG supercharged V6...having owned a SLK AMG version I can attest they are fast and the engine output is underrated by AMG.

His sure wasn't and srt.. As far as the Merc goes I have a female freind "don't tell my wife" that has an SLK 55 AMG little two seater convertable with the V8 in it and she thought she was gonna whoop up on the Z. Boy was she wrong and shocked. It was very difficult for her to admit she got spanked. But that merc was very quick. I just had more HP.
