Anyone know the exact size of the oil drain plug and the gasket for it?. I went to the dealership and they wanted 15.00 for the "aluminum washer" they say is the sealing gasket, they also list a "steel washer" for $18.00. I have found an online supplier for these plug-gaskets, http://www.fmsiinc.com/drain-plug-gaskets.htm but I have to know what size they are.
I can't believe GM could charge $15.00 for literally a $0.10 washer....something wrong there. |

Yes its Gm, they have always been crooks when it comes to parts.
When you say Zr1 they laugh all the way to the bank. They will wack you close to 800 for a fuel pump when it is common knowledge you can you a 96 Surburban pump $100 give or take. I was a Gm tech for 7 years, I know the way they think and the way they train their employees. Not customer centric. ![]() Ray |

I just had the same problem yesterday. The rubber was separated from the metal. I took the plug and washer to the local Chevy dealer's part department. They found an air conditioner washer that appeared to be the same. I do not have the part number as they gave the washer for spending loads of money with them. If you would like I could call them and see if they remember the part number. Ron Bidwell
