Valve cover bolts.
I'm done porting and polishing so I figured it was time to try loosening up a few cam cover bolts before I loosen the brake booster. Took a brand new T-40 torx socket and I could tell the bolt head was going to just mush like lead. So I decided the hell with that. Its just not worth it to me to have to drill out stripped heads or broken bolts simply to get the valve covers powder coated. I'll just take a wire wheel and to take off the old powder coating and get some cans of that LT5 paint thats supposed to be close to stock and have the powder coating guy match it up. So I'll have the plenum injector housings throttle body and air horn powder coated. Its just and aluminum oxide color anyway. Should'nt be to hard for him to match.
I'll post some pictures of my porting work in a bit. |
