Default Taking the "Tour" at Bloomington?

So who all is going on the Bloomington Gold Tour? I figure on staging at 4ish, if no other takers. But, if the FBI and other Zs or ?? would like to arrive on mass, we should pick a spot to meet - a gas station or something close by. I'll have a look around today.

I've "rounded the corner" on my header install project - got the mutha@#$%& off FINALLY! (A slipped disc(??) in my back made for some serious agony - crawling in and out from under the car...That's my story an I'm stickin' towit! Beats the heck outta me how others managed to whip those stock headers/cats of in "no time" - a mystery to me!)

I've got the new bungs welded on (top), and now it's just nuts n bolts - far as the exhaust goes. Oh, yeah...That little matter of the fuel leaning out...And, what about the vibration? [sigh]. They may have to wait if I'm going to get it together in time to make the Tour.

Looks like an "all nighter" tonight, and it's been a while since I've done one of those (on a car!).

Ami is planning on bringing her 69 vert to the Tour. Hope to see aZ many as can make it. It'll be fun - always is!

A less than an overwhelming response!!!...(But, organizing any FBI shindig is like herding cats!)

Juuuuust in case anyone would like to make it a group fun event, there is a parking lot (pre-staging/gathering spot near the tour); the 3rd 5th(?) or was it a 5th 3rd(?) BANK parking lot on the NE corner of Randal Rd and IL Rt 38.

Using last year as a reference, if we arrived at the Kane Co admin lot (IL Rt. 38 and Peck Rd) close to 4PM Saturday, we will be near the front of the procession. It begins at 6 PM and usually winds up in 1 to 1-1/2 hours tops.

FYI,

P.

Where is the ZR-1 Registry parking at Bloomington Gold? I drove around and saw nothing for club parking.

We had a great time! Jeff and Ken were there as well as some friends from various clubs we always see at these gatherings. And, some of the local clubs had a spontaneous gathering at a local Irish B&G for some fine eating and a Irish brew. A great time was had.

I was driving Ami's 69 vert...

...and Jeff followed in his black Z. Tho I tried a couple times, there was no shaking 'im! Ami's car has the (350/350) L46/M-4/4.11s and is no slouch. But, every time I'd back off after a short couple gears, that Z was in my rear view mirror as tho I was pulling 'im w/ a rope!

Anyway, it was a great time (as always).

It is because nobody from ANY Internet forums called to reserve their designated spots..

************* did not even call but due to the turn out they have had over the course of the last few years, they got their spot right when the advanced registration/club parking was closing.
