Default BG 2009

We had a great time. we were lucky and got in the drags on both Wed and Thursday, had fantastic seminars, the NCM looked fantastic with the new expansion, and we saw both the C4 ZR-1 and C6 ZR1s running around BG.

Graham Behan of LPE surprised us and brought out a modified C6 ZR1 with 620 at the tires with only a pulley, tune, and air intake, very stout.

Bob Gillig had a new 427 LT5 with a killer new exhaust consisting of a B&B with a magnaflow mufflers with c6 Z06 flapper mod. very stealthy and quiet until the vac drops below 10 and the pipes pop open and let the beast clear it's throat. very nice car with a new RAM dual disk that felt velvety smooth but could hold the power.

Seminars were more interesting with more variety of speakers, my thanks to them all!!! We heard quite a bit more about the history and testing of the car with full write ups in the HOTB newsletter to follow.

I had a bit of a mishap with a KY resident that turned into the LSV and really did a number on the pass side crunching the door, glass, gill panel and cracking the hood, rear quarter, and rocker panel. broke my heart!!

but the car is driveable and I made it back on a chilly sunday drive with 5 other ZR-1s headed east. we took lots of back roads and enjoyed the Kentucky country side. great time.

narrowly avoided yet ANOTHER wreck when traffic stopped short on 70 south, the guy right behind me got nailed, and I was sure they were going to push into the LSV, but he stopped inches away. yikes.

we are in the planning cycle for carlisle and also next years BG Gathering which is the 20th anniversary of the 90 ZR-1 and promises to be a big one.

keep the rpms and the shiney side up, and just remember that LSV now stands for

"lady sideswiped vette" I gotta laugh to choke back the tears. but it will soon be shiney red all over again with a new coat of paint and looking better than ever!

take care out there!
