Finally fixed the Z.
It started a few months back the Z just didn't feel as strong. I replaced plugs and fuel filter. Still no change so I pulled the plenum and began testing everything. Coils, wires, injectors tested tem all. Installed new injectors, about half were failing. Also installed new plug wires while I was in there. Pcv hose behind plenum had split so I replaced it too. Still just not right. So looked at fuel system pressure seemed to be alittle on the low side. About ten lbs off so after talking to a few friends and experts, I replaced both fuel pumps and the fuel socks. Still not right car just felt off . Only one part of fuel system left, and I did look for a crushed or damaged line. So I replace the regulator and now I have pressure like it should be and it feels like it used to. I sure am glad to be done finally. I really appreciated all the help and input from friends and guys on the net, Thank you all. I won't take it to a dealer to many bad experiences with those guys and vettes.

It sounds like you needed to get some of the other issues taken care of anyway. I am glad to hear you finally got it running right, and can enjoy it again.

Re: Finally fixed the Z.
Yes I installed the Accels, I'm very pleased with the results. I found an issue with the secondary pump getting moisture inside of the pump. I had replaced it last summer and had to do it again a short while ago. It had been raining here Friday night when I pulled the plenum to do the regulator. I drove car home from work that evening and when I was done and had finished the job I proceeded to check the pressure ,all looked good. I started the car and let it run for a few minutes ,and when I went to cycle the key again the pump stayed on. I know all lines were hooked up so I pulled the line apart by the the oil filter and when I blocked it off it was still running. I pulled the pump and it had just enough moisture to short it out and keep running. So I cleaned it out with contact cleaner and dried it out. I ran a vacuum line from the bottom of the pump to the engine compartment, away from the bottom of the bumper and any moisture. The last pump had totally filled up with water. I was wondering if anybody has ever seen this before.

Re: Finally fixed the Z.
My OE pump fell to water/moisture ingestion also and after I cleaned it up I did a vac hose w/a filter on the port that it uses for exhaust as I figured that the air/moisture was getting in that way.......it was an open plastic nipple so I figured that has to be the way moisture was getting inside the motor area.
I used my spare 2* control filter.....so far, so good & it's been about two yrs.
