Re: Insurance
It does seem pretty low to me too. I guess I can understand why the rates can be reduced based on their parameters. The only thing that bothers me is how far away the company is from where I am. I live in a fairly small town & my agent is 5 miles from here. I like being able to do business face to face, especially in the event of an accident.
Thank you for posting the link and the phone number though! Its definately an option for some of us.

Re: Insurance
There are not exclusions for leisure driving in the policy, they are tough on the UW part. There are alot of people who are trying to insure daily drivers or higher use cars under the policy so the UW process is designed to weed those out. The # listed is for 300K limits. and much of the premium is based on vehicle ACV.
LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 **I did look at the application, they note car is not to be used for work, shopping, or school. Last edited by LGAFF; 08-29-2008 at 06:18 PM. |

Re: Insurance
Karterdon has insurance with them, I am goign to get coverage once I get the 2nd car. They are really looking for people that use the car less than 3K miles per year. Let me know how it goes, I may go with Heacock Ins as they offer a huge discount for a 2nd car.
The advantage with the Condon and Skelly car is that theyh offer coverage at the track if you are at a club event. LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 |

Re: Insurance
Sweet deal for your situation!
I would offer up this as an alternative for those of us that drive our Z's a bit more........usually only one Z in the household. Try asking your regular car ins carrier if they have any "in-house speciality" products/ clauses that recognize a unique usage pattern for valuable cars. You may be surprised what you find if you are with one of the bigger companies. I am not well versed by any means on this subject. I just called my agent, customer since about 1980 with a local independent agent, and they hooked me up with the company that had my DD. They had a product for people like me that do about 5k to < 12k a yr. It wasn't as cheap as the real speciality companies, but those guys did not really have a product that fit my driving habits. My 08 Cobalt Sport and my 90 Z cost me $158.00 @ month for agreed value on the Z and 300/100/50 w/ 1k ded on both cars. Don't get me wrong here. There are restrictions, logical ones...ya know ya gotta have a DD, garage, they assume you're sane.....no racing, good record @ DMV, usual stuff. tom

Re: Insurance
No go with C&S has to be 25 years old.
I brought up that the website stated 15. Unless you are an existing client then maybe 15. So much for C&S.

Re: Insurance
Tried American Collectors and they wanted $416 per year for 25K coverage.
This is higher than my current company @ $400. Where are these $200 deals at?

Re: Insurance
You must call in to Condon and Skelly ask them for their concours policy. If the person who answer the phone does not understand, ask them to speak to the agent.
