Lou,
I emailed you back and it was kicked back to me again but anyway, I have to ask how did they determine that the cable was bad? I mean when I had the car apart it moves freely in the plastic sheath? I think its your chip that needs to be reprogramed you have the first generation 1990 eprom that was known to cause high idle. Im just wondering about the diognosis and how the guy figured it out.

Johnny, There is a tiny bit of play & causing it to hang up & causing the high idle. When you pull it the idle drops back down to 700 rpms. Jeff sent me to Ecklers & they have 1 left. It was less then $50 with shipping. Thank-you Jeff!! White also has them & they are $80 but he has more then 1. Must have bought out the inventory @ GM because they have it as discontinued.
