Default ABS wheel speed sensor wiring

Every time I get under any of the 4 corners, I see the original protective coating coming off of the ABS wheel speed sensor wiring. Has anyone found a good way to provide protection to the 2 wires that were originally coated with a rubber like coating?

I am thinking others have seen this occur.

Best way I have found is to use some small vacuum line. Split it long ways the entire length and it works like split loom. A small zip tie on either end and there ya have it...
