Car Show Boards - What Did You Do?
Looking to make up a board for car shows to explain the ZR-1 and LT5. And, of course, the incredible 24 hour record. What did you guys come up with? Any tips on size that works well?

Re: Car Show Boards - What Did You Do?
I created this, taking a photo of my car. Mounted it on a 24 by 36 inch board from hobby lobby and cut, wrote, and pasted the rest. If this is not clear enough to read, I can text it to you or anybody if you give me your number. I get very positive comments on it.

Re: Car Show Boards - What Did You Do?
While I often wished I had a fancy information board for shows, I never got around to getting one in the four years that I owned my '95. They definitely look nice. What I did instead was create a Word document four pages long with page borders and printed it out. I then got four plastic page sleeves and taped all four together and mounted it inside on the windshield. Despite it being very simplistic, I got several compliments on it including one for being easy to read with large type! Since I was unable to load my Word doc here I have scanned the pages as jpgs. But if anyone wants the Word doc I would be glad to email it. --Bob

Sent it out to you Erik. I also included a similar one I wrote for some other purpose, which eludes me right now, but I am sure I had a good reason back then. Pretty much the same sort of info in a different format. I include it here in case anyone else cares about such stuff. -Bob

Re: Car Show Boards - What Did You Do?
Had mine made with a hinged frame so it is 2 sided and will be steady in windy conditions. Wood frame with waterproof print. I used photos of my car along with a write up on the ZR-1 that I had Dave McCelan sign during Carlisle in 2019.

Charlie,
Very nice display being two-sided and the Lotus medallion adds the finishing touch to the LT-5. Mike P. |

My board. I am not really graphically talented, but it's not bad for a beginner. 20210730_124415.jpg

Re: Car Show Boards - What Did You Do?
Those are some nice car show boards everyone...these cars are forgotten pieces of not just Corvette history, but automotive history as well. All I do is put the window sticker on the side window and open that hood!! the ooohhss and ahhhhs will follow
