Not sure if there is anything similar available on the US market but on my Audis I'm using ATE Ceramic pads. These are extremely low on dust and the very few emissions are light grey-ish. Nearly invisible on standard rims. After about 12kmls there is literally no break dust on my 20" wheels. Amazing stuff, highly recommendable!
They are compatible with all standard discs, so no special requirements and deliver stopping power as good quality parts should.

I never had much dust with Hawk HPS even running frequent autocross with my old 95 LT1. I just put on HPS 5.0 to replace whatever was on my car when I bought it, hope they?re about the same.

Just replaced the front pads on my 94 about a month and a half ago with Hawk HPS pads. So far there's been very little brake dust and no noise that I have noticed.

I've been running Akebono brake pads for years and brake dust is pretty much gone.

In New Jersey the brake pedal and the horn are synonymous, choose either. ![]() Marty |

I grew up in Jersey. Never blow the horn! Just blow by the slow poke when they aren?t looking. High speed draft and pass. Maybe a gesture!
But in the city, the horn is required! Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry Last edited by lfalzarano; 03-14-2021 at 05:33 PM. |

The wifes AMG GL63 brakes dusted like CRAZY when new, each drive the wheels would get visually darker. At 8,900 miles, I had enough. I called Hawk and asked if they had the backing plate specs and if they could make a pad for it. They said yes and chose the HPS compound on all four corners.
We've Put 15K miles on it since then and the only reason I wash it now is dust ON TOP of the car. Better brake pedal feel and modulation too. I run the HAWK LTS pads on our hummer H3 alpha. Just had to put new pads on it. Fronts last 60K ish, rears 130K ish. Last edited by bowtiguy; 01-20-2024 at 11:50 AM. |
