Re: BAMA Q C4/ZR-1 26 Oct 19
What time might things start on Saturday morning?
At this point I'm leaning towards driving to Enterprise Friday after work (4 hours) and checking into a motel, then heading over to your place Saturday AM, and probably heading back home Saturday evening. But, I'm considering different options ... There are no planned Sunday activities, right? Thanks, again for hosting. I know it will be a fun time. |

I'll be awake early, 0900 is a good time to come by and hang out on Saturday. I'll be smoking the brisket by 1000.
No scheduled events for Sunday, just recovery.

Looking forward to it! I’ll try to get there late morning.
Does anyone that is coming have any minor maintenance issues? I’m betting there will be enough talent to assist. Ted |

Re: BAMA Q C4/ZR-1 26 Oct 19
I'm bringing C-Beam plates in case we can install them, but I'm not expecting it - just a nice-if-we-can.
My car is up on jack stands now, doing a few things, and I may have my V2V bars already installed before I leave for Tony's. They seem pretty straight forward. I had a struggle getting the oil pan drain plug off. Had to use a special tool. I've had a gasoline smell lately, and think I've seen drips, so I'm dropping the spare tire to see if I can find a problem. This upcoming event has been good to nudge me into getting some things done on the ZR-1. |

Tony,
To you and your wife and friends who put this event on I Thank You... Great food Great company. Was Great to see some old friend I have not seen in years and of coarse some Great ZR-1's. Now contrary to popular beliefs after driving in rain most the way home and a close inspection while cleaning up today, no melting or deformed body panels. Did I say I had a Great time...

Man, I can still taste that wonderful barbeque. Thank you, again, for hosting this great event.
And also thanks to everyone there who offered help and suggestions regarding my yellow ZR-1. I picked up a few good tips and I'm headed to Jerry's web site in a few minutes to see if he's got some things I need/want. Steve (WeGone) let me drive his car with Haibeck power upgrades and it was really strong, not to mention near perfect condition all around. I think it needs an aftermarket shifter, tho. :-) I drove home with my new V2V bars hooked up. I can't say for sure they made a huge difference, but the car felt a little more solid. |
