92 ZR-1 on the dyno Today
All stock except Mark's chip.
326hp @ 5700, 322tq @ 4700. Fell off to 305hp, 210tq @ 7000. Using 15% loss as a guide, puts the engine power just about 385hp. Not bad for a 27 year old, 20k mile car.

South Windsor. The Posse goes every April. Quote:
Your numbers are really close to mine.

Re: 92 ZR-1 on the dyno Today
Sumpins' up. HP should climb right to 7K.
At 5700 rpm, I was about 420, at 7K I was about 450. |

Nice. I think the 90-92 LT5s were originally 375HP at 6000 rpm (nominally about 318HP after 15% driveline loss) and 370 lb-ft at 4800 rpm (about 314 lb-ft after loss factor). Looks like the chip does what it is advertised to do as far as power and torque upgrade, which I'm happy to see since I too have stock LT-5 except Haibeck chip. Thanks for the share!

Re: 92 ZR-1 on the dyno Today
So I have long tubes, the SW 3" exhaust and Marcs chip plus I just got it back from him for the header provision... He says +25 hp so thats crank hp, correct? I wonder what my engine would be at....

An (below) actual stock (Dynojet) LT5 (1990-92, IIRC) for comparison. =334 HP at the wheels @ 5700, ~330 torque @ ~4500 RPM The dyno operator cut it off early ~6400 RPM, but it looks that SUBFIXER's #s are about normal for a stock LT5. Looks about right to me, no?

Re: 92 ZR-1 on the dyno Today
My hp always climbs right to red line, doesn't fall off like that.
Yes it's cammed, but did it before also. Looks like I got the only good one. Maybe I'll bring my sheets to BG, make sure I'm reading them right. (It's only two lines). But, I'm not very goodly edumacated. |

Re: 92 ZR-1 on the dyno Today
Here's my dyno plot.
Runfile_001 was a short first pull. Runfile_002 was the first full pull. Runfile_003 was the second full pull with the best numbers.
