Default Squeaking coming from left side wheel

I've noticed the last few times I have driven my Z, a squeaking noise coming from behind me. It sounds like from the left side of the car. It almost sounds like a shock squeaking....It was happening on uneven pavement, but now its happing on every drive. I haven't had time to put her on jacks to take a look, I'm hoping its not something major. It happens in both backing up and regular driving. You can't hear it from inside the car, but if my window is down you can hear it....

That is what it sounds like. Should I leave the car parked until it can be fixed, or is it driveable?

Squeaking would make me suspect rubber bushings more than wheel bearings.
Spray some water on dogbone, struct bushings and drive listening for the squeaking noise.

You will find a New Trick to easily remove the Half Shafts

I would expect squeaking to be more associated with brake pads or calipers.

A rumble I would expect associated with wheel bearings.

Yes, fully agree, brakes, including emergency brake would be first places to check.

Yes check brakes first. Make sure you pads are in good condition and pins , etc are well lubricated. If that isn't it check half shaft u-joints.

I never thought about the brakes. I don't get the squeak when applying the brakes, just when the car is moving. No rumble to speak of, just a slight squeak....... But my check ABS light on, and it won't go off.

So I found the problem.....when taking off the tires for new ones, the strap fell out in 2 pieces. No telling how long this had been flopping around in there.
