Default Original Seat Bladder Condition

If you ever wonder why your seat bladders don't hold air, look no further.
I had the passenger seat out, so decided to replace the bladder while it was handy. Un-clipped and folded back the leather to see the bladder nearly totally disintegrated! I figured it would be dry and brittle, but never expected this. The car has lived inside and the leather is soft & pliable, so I was surprised at the bladder condition.

Did locate a piece with a date stamp of August 1989. The production date of the car is October 1989, so obviously it is the original part.

Before installing the new bladder, I connected the system to verify proper operation of the pump (which I put a new diaphram in), switch, bleed down buttons and the integrity of the connections.

If anybody needs an original bladder for an early '90, I've got one I would let go pretty reasonable.
