It was my 24-year-old son-in-law who in the Spring of 2015 asked me if I'd like to test drive a '90 ZR-1 at a local dealership. Then he began to tell me about the ZR-1, excitedly. Well, I knew about them, but responded, "I'll go with you, but I AM NOT IN THE MARKET FOR ONE! I'm not even gonna drive it."
Well, sure enough after he drove it, he said, "You've gotta drive this thing!" I refused... but somehow, minutes later, found myself behind the wheel with the salesman in the passenger seat. ... and within a month had a '94 Z in the garage. Dern enthusiastic 24-year-olds!
