Re: Thinking of selling one of my vettes but, which one?
Worth repeating...?
I rebuilt my wife's 350/350hp L46 in her 69 vert C3 and upgraded the cam for a little be more oomph. With 411s and M4, headers and side pipes, it is pretty frisky; or so I thought. During a cruise event at a Bloomington Gold gathering, -= Jeff=- was following behind me in his stock ZR-1, and I was driving Ami's C3 with that freshly built, "rumbling" L46. At one point there was a stop sign followed by a left turn and a mile stretch of open blacktop. I turned and waited for -= Jeff=- to make the turn too, and then I NAILED IT! I rowed through the first 3 gears and into 4th before I looked into the mirror to see how badly I'd put the hurt on that ZR-1. I was shocked to see a big ****-eatin' grin on -= Jeff's =- face, his face so close in nearly filled the rear-view mirror. You'd think I had a tow rope hooked to his front bumper!! The power delivery of the DOHC is so wide and smooth that it surprises a lot of ppl...like it did ME that day! Here's a "demonstration" of what I mean... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzPPEK9Qf3M
