Default Dash and Tachissues

The dash, specifically the LCD, on my 90 is going haywire and sometimes off....also the Tach is off by 800-1000RPM. Alternator is producing 13.8 volts....battery is new.

Guess the wiring to the LCD is failing.

By the way Lee.....you can put all that in a single post by using Edit.
Also.....if you ever want to bring a thread back to the top....just Edit your last post, Copy content, and then Delete the post. Then paste what you copied in New Post......back to the top the Thread goes

Lee,

I had a similar problem on my L98 years ago - Glenn B advised that it might be a bad cell in my battery - Which I recall was a new battery. Sure enough, I switched batteries after checking connections and taking apart the cluster to look for obvious problems.... whala! Can't explain it, but never had another problem for the following 10 or so years.

Good luck,
Mark

Both issues appear solved. The Tach is within 50rpm and no more dash issues....process was about 20 minutes to get it out; 1.5 hours of soldering, and I had to cut the plastic housing to get the Analog Calibration IC to fit. apprantly this is not needed on all housings
