Default Beware - ZR1 Spark Plug Wires

Please beware of an individual (Bob Davis) selling NOS ZR1 Spark Plug Wires on the parts for sale board. I emailed Bob and asked if the wires were NOS as described in ad. I was told that they were absolutely new and that they even came in the original plastic bag. I wanted an extra set for my ZR1 (1995 purple metallic, 600 miles, a keeper) so I purchased them from Bob. What I received was a used, take-off set of wires which were worn, gouged and cracked in places. I wrote Bob back a note stating how disappointed I was and that the honorable thing to do would be to refund my payment less shipping and insurance. I also stated they he may have been misled when he bought the wires if he was not familiar with ZR1s. He immediately called me a scammer and refused to refund my money as the wires were obviously new that he shipped me. He did exactly what I thought he would do. I have owned multiple ZR1s and have bought numerous parts as future replacements. I had a new set of wires, in the box, which I gave to a buyer of one of my ZR1s several years ago (I know I am an idiot). Any how, these wires are definately used and the original bag turned out to be nothing more than a zip lock baggie (for the record, thr originals were in a heat sealed bag inside a GM box). The purpose of my note here is to make you aware that Bob Davis in Ohio still has an ad for new ZR1 spark plug wires on the parts for sale board. Do not buy them as you will make the same mistake as I have and you will get a set of used wires for $400. Buyer beware.

Question Re: Beware - ZR1 Spark Plug Wires

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Do you have pictures of what you received vs a copy of his ad?

Are you saying he has a thread on this forum?

If so please PM me the information.

Ok, between this and the PM I see where the ad is located. That is not my rice bowl, but I will pass it on.

Thanks for taking the time to post it.

No reply to me or to an individual from the Registry who tried to contact him. Just reinforces the old saying "let the buyer beware". Thanks.

I sent him an email a week back asking if he still had the wires for sale. And if he did were they original in the GM box. He replied, that he had sold them already, no other comment.

There's a special place for people like him in hell...the ebay room, probably be full.

No patience for scum like him.
