Help asap please. Can't get bellhousing off
Got trans out, removed all bolts from bellhousing, even the cat heat plate one, loosened fork stud, have been trying to pull bellhousing off by working big screwdriver between it and block for a damn hour now. It acts like its hung up on upper driver side somewhere, maybe on a rusty dowel pin I can see the back of. The passenger side is loose, driver side I have about 1/4" gap but it refuses to come any further. Clutch fork is loose on throwout.
Suggestions please before I break something?

Re: Help asap please. Can't get bellhousing off
I got it. You know I printed up how to do this job from about 4 different places and talked to 2 people on the phone - and not one of em mentioned to take off the plate on the bottom front of the bellhousing?

The lesson in this is: Buy a copy of the Corvette Factory Service Manual. The instructions in it would have told you to remove the flywheel shield.
