Both Accel and RC injectors are made by Lucas. Accel injectors are made to the OE spec where the flow rate of each injector is +/-3%. RC injectors are more expensive because they are hand selected into sets that have flow rates +/-1% from injector to injector.

Im not sure thats true I think RC makes there own but they are a simular lucas design. You are correct on the hand selection for the matching flow rates but the RCs are also using a stainless sleeve (Accel something else) which was a big reason I went with them as my orginal injectors we all rusted.

I've been putting off the injector fix for over a year now......... no time. I see the prices have come down significantly. When I buy the 2 sets of Accel 150821's, do I need an O-ring kit? Seems like I remember something about needing an o-ring kit for the secondary injectors ???

No O-ring kit needed. I asked Marc myself.

You can do an ohm test. The FSM says to check the injectors cold ohm readings and then re-check the ohms when the motor gets to closed loop temps. There is a thread here with the method to do the ohm testing thru the ECM plugs.

Are you suspecting the injectors as the source of the miss? A scan of the motor from open loop temps thru closed loop temps will show if you have fuel issues. The O2 cross count #'s and the Block Learn #'s and the Integrator #'s will be off. There is a page in the FSM in section 6E that gives a snap shot of what the closed loop data for a normal motor should look like on a scanner.

The RC injectors part numbers you need are part numbers SL-205s. Yes both the primaries and secondaries are the same but you will need to remove the tab on the secondaries. RC Racing normally will do this for you if you buy their injectors and tell them they are for a ZR-1

Would that be the SL4-0205 injectors? I can't seem to see anything else close on the RC website?

Thanks
