Re: Stacked!
Top car is a standard 72 coupe...sort of LT-1 cloned (hood, intake, valve covers) plus '69 side pipes.
I didn't take pictures of the joists/rafters...I just sistered up the joists that remain, bolted in some new cross-beams, ran 2x10s on the ends...should have taken pics, I suppose.

The primary reason for cutting the trusses was the have the ability to put the lift in that garage. It's an awesome alternative to low ceilings. Looks Great WB! |

Re: Stacked!
I've wanted to do that too but everybody I tell thinks I'm a fool. (I am but that's not the point.) I need about 1' to be able to lift my cars up so I can work on them without bending over. Did you use a header in the attic to support the weight or just a end header on the trusses?

Re: Stacked!
Congrats! Your setup is very innovative! If you have concerns about the ZR-1 clearing the side supports, a piece of motorcycle tire works great! It saved me quite a few times!
Again, congrats! Regards, Mark

Re: Stacked!
Thanks, Mark. I went ahead and got the regular width HD-9. I'll keep the tires in mind if I find myself smacking the sides!
