Default EM Racing Corp

Has anyone dealt with Exotic Muscle Racing Corp out of Cave Creek, AZ? They have a plethora of great parts for our ZR-1s, and before I made a major order wanted to see if anyone else dealt with them.

Thanks

I'd be happy if they're good. I'd be interested to know how much of this stuff they actually have, though. For instance, one of the items on their site is a license-plate ram-air kit. Weren't those gone long ago?

Great to know they're there, though, if they actually are a stocking dealer.

Are they the same company that is being referenced in this post from July 19th on CF? If they are one and the same and the information is factual (which I do not know for sure) I would investigate them closely.

Sounds like Merle, he had a Corvette shop years ago in Tempe, since closed, I think he was running a business out of his house after the closure, I have not seen him on the radar for years, I think Bill B knows him & or his mechanics from Merle's shop years ago in Tempe

Thanks for the input. I saw some interesting items like Carbon fiber hoods, prop shafts and half shafts. I did see the license plate ram air in another catalog like Corvette Central, Mamo or Corvette America. I'd be worried about torsional and shear stress in a composite/metal bonded half shaft. When it finally goes...oh buddy.

I think I'll send the car to DRM or Marc for top end work and suspension tuning and then a lighter hood direct from Toledo. They sent me some 8lb glass/carbon hybrid doors for the 1990 quick and a good price. I've had good luck with ACP as well.

Is Pfadt gonzo???

Thumbs up Re: EM Racing Corp

I wanted to get some parts for my C5/C6 from Aaron. They seemed like suspension pros. Even the Z06X looked awesome.

Jerry is definitely top of my list for parts. I'm grateful he is finding people who will reproduce parts to spec. I am part of the LT5 cult following, LOL. The engine is a unique beast and the rear even though not much wider than standard C4 is a world of difference in looks to me. It's like the hot secretary at work. Any excuse to take a coffee break and sneak a peek...

A friend of mine here in town bought some coil overs from Exotic Muscle a few months ago so it seems Merle is still in business.

Okay, cool I'll give him a call at least. Again I may just ship the car to Marc. I have a shopping list of items like top end, headers, coil overs and a roll bar welded in.
