Default SuperMicro 2026GT-TR 2U rack server

A friend's company surplussed this pretty current server, too bad I had just bought two somewhat lesser boxes. In fact hot sparing this would have exceeded my budget. Since he grabbed it thinking he'd snagged me a smokin' deal, I figured I should at least help him sell it.

Spec sheet can be found here:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/s...2026gt-trf.cfm

Configuration as it sits:
- rack rails, both power supplies, all riser boards included
- one Xeon 2.4GHz
- socket for 2nd open, cooler available from NewEgg for $21
- 8Gb DDR3
- 3x 500Gb sata Seagate drives (10 bays)
- one nVidia nvs450 4x display port

This running system (has ubuntu loaded iirc) looks like a worthy deal at $1250.

I have a proper server box suitable for gorilla ship (ie FedEx ground, Boston to SoCal = $85), trip and fees would be on your dime.

PM with interest for fastest response,
- Jeff

Well the NVidia card is sold (I nabbed it).

That leaves the ready to run server at $1k plus ship and fees. I bet he'd listen to rational offers.

I am almost regretting that we'd already bought a couple other boxes, since they didn't come with the rack side of the rails. We're burning lots of time trying to work out the rest of the mounting. This box is ready to bolt in. Hmmm.

Cheers,
- Jeff
