Well I measured a gap of .022....looks like they were milled .025.....will see what the plenum fit is like

.016 gap in the inside of one side of the plenum to IH....I think I can live with that and a.060 gasket. Thoughts?

Depends where the distortion is. These things are somewhat prone to oil weapage of the PCV vent passages as the gasket tends to saturate in time and squeeze out the edge.

Plenum to IH...the IH were machined top and bottom....no PCV issues with the plenum to IH....that's the IH to the head.

I would think with .016 gap......and a.060 gasket....I would have enough gasket crush to seal.

ahh- I missed that detail... if it won't leak air or water, why not?

Ugly day, putting the 90 back together...used 2 gaskets between the plenum and the IH. Everything went well but the first two bolts were off by about .5mm, maybe alittle less. had to grid the bolt hole to get the plenum on.

Not to sure this is going to work
