Re: LOW-TIRE-SENSORS if i remove them???
i do`nt know if the light will come on without the sensors. my ltpws light came on all the time with all the sensors on and tire pressure was good. i removed them two at a time when i replaced rear then front tires. i got tired of having to put a piece of paper in front of the lights so i removed two bulbs, the service LTPWS and the low tire pressure light. they are 194 bulbs. you`d have to first remove the plastic piece around the shifter including the ashtray, then the bezel covering the radio. then four screws to take the cover off the warning lights. its not that big of a job. i think whatever that system initally cost was a waste of money. good luck and i wish i could be more help. i just know that you`ll have no problem because of the bulb removal.

I removed the sensors when I put new wheels on and have not had any problem with lights coming on.

90's won't have the light if all the sensors are removed. Mine are in the basement.

Re: LOW-TIRE-SENSORS if i remove them???
Is it a big deal to pull the bulb?
An explanation: Ideally, I'm not against these LTPWSs. The light has only turned on when a tire was low. They work. I also have not had one fly off (yet) even up to 152 mph (thanks Dwight!). My complaint is that 75% of the time whenever I have some BOZO change my tires, they break the sensor. I warn them, tell them they are mounted opposite the valve stem, they are expensive to replace and they WILL pay for new ones, and they still break them. I then have to wait until the new ones arrive and again remount the tires. IMHO, not the swiftest engineering by the general. OK, I'm done ranting.... |

Pulling the bulbs is not a tough ordeal...if you want, I can send you a short writeup on how I did mine when I changed out the head unit..
I'm definately pulling my sensors off before BG.
