Default Missing solid top

I have full docs. of my 1990 z but after eight owners one of them kept the solid top. Only two owners drove the car. Car is white. Does anyone have a solid top they will part with and if so, how much? It does not have to be white.

Your not going to find anyone to ship one for the following; 1- Shippers (USPS, UPS, etc.) will not insure it because it won't fit in any of their standard boxes, and they need to pack it to insure it. 2- If you decide to pack and ship yourself, the cost to buy a box big enough, packing material, and shipping will cost almost as much as the top, if not more. 3- It can't be insured if you ship and pack yourself, which brings in the dilemma, who's gonna pay if it gets damaged en route.
I know this because I have an extra top and looked into it already. If someone buys it, it will have to be local.

Thanks for the information. I was thinking I should buy locally too as the top is not unique to the z.

You might get lucky if there's a Corvette salvage yard nearby. Any C4 top will do, if its damaged, you could always repair headliners and have it repainted.

Kind of news to me... I shipped 40 sets of the Shelby Wheels that I packed and insured via FedEx. Was no problem but this was several years ago. Each wheel was insured for $200. Maybe it's because I had a FedEx account but I don't know... Wasn't an issue so you may want to check to be sure.

I believe it comes down to their selection of boxes (don't know about corporate accounts). 1 or 2 rims should fit in a standard box, but the odd shape and size of the top wouldn't fit in any "standard" box. I could ship it, just not insure it, but the cost involved to do it defeated the purpose.

The corporate account website allows you to input the box dimensions as well as the weight and quantity. It cost less than $100 to ship all 4 wheels from Vegas to the right coast. I just used the factory boxes that the wheels were already in. I think anyone can open a business account...
