If I was to do it again I would get the following: 1 - 50' x 2" roll DEI Wrap $39.88 1 - 15' x 2" roll DEI Wrap $13.88 2 - Cans DEI Hi Temp Silicon Paint $6.95 EA 8 - 14" SS Ties (4 /pk or 2 pks) $7.95 EA Total would be $83.56, just slightly more than the DEI kit of $79.95, but this would be a much better way to go as you would have plenty of material and wouldn't have to push it like I did. I did get the job done and that is what matters. Hib did an article on this, Corvette Action Center, I think it was called Silent Power or Quiet Power. He has some good pics of the wrapping on there and recommended the DEI as an alternative to the Thermo-Tec. Don't use the Summit wrap, it is cheaper but is only rated to 1250d, the DEI is rated to 2000d. http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/....php?qstId=534 As far as changing things, I never paid any attention to the heat generated so I can't comment on that. From the inside, the common faint howl that is emitted from the stock exhaust has been intensified. I like it and I don't have the resonance everyone talks of. All in all it was a very nice mod and I can't wait for the Dyno test results from Steve. With the addition of the chip the car idles better, is crisper and you don't have to worry about remembering to turn the GD key on. Of course I am sure I am the only one to forget that right . I will post when I have driven the car more and gotten some track times to see if it helped there. That will be just after mid April.

Re: Flowmaster and Chip Installed
All of this talk has got the mod bug biting me hard....must..resist...(until bank account can support it).
As for mine, I've got the Haibeck prom and 3" straight exhaust on mine. I hope to make it to BG and get her on the dyno there.

Re: Flowmaster and Chip Installed
I have some Xmas money burning a hole in my pocket; am considering the Flowmasters. Was this a pretty simple bolt-on or is cutting and / or welding needed.
Thanks

Re: Flowmaster and Chip Installed
What Quasar and Jon said. It took about 6 hours but I installed it, tightened the clamps, removed it, wrapped it, painted it and reinstalled it. I tightened the clamps with air and broke only one clamp. The fit at the back of the radiator (I meant) resonator was a little loose but there was no leak. Nice deal for the price and combined with the Haibeck chip, should add about 20 to 25 horses.
If you do this exhaust and want part numbers let me know, I would be happy to help. Order the chip from Marc on Monday and it should be there by Thursday at the latest.
