new ZR-1 owner needs help
Hello. I have two 1993 LT1s, but just purchased a 1990 black ZR-1 with 33K miles and have some code/electrical issues I need help with.
My issues are:

Could be a grounding issue. But first I would reset everything. Reset the codes and disconnect the battery for a minute. Then as issues come up check for any codes and address that code. You might also reseat the Prom. A 1990 with 33K miles could be one that has sat around quite a bit so you might have a corrosion issue with connections.

Thanks Mom. It was driven only 1500 miles in the past 12 years. I disconnected the battery and checked the ECM and PROM for corrosion and tight connections this morning. No difference in the DIC lights, but I did not re-check the codes. How do you re-set the PROM? Thanks again.

Regarding the INFL REST light, I just fixed that on my car, it a corrosion issue where the airbag sensors are mounted on the fraime. A code 16 is the drivers side sensor and it's mounted on the frame behind the battery. The code 26 is the passenger side senser and it's mounted on the frame behind the windshield wash bottle. Both senser need to be remove and clean the frame where they mount. My sensor had rust under both, I scrubbed with a wire brush, and remounted using di-electric grease. Then you have to clear the code in the computer. There is a thread on that, it's fairly involved. I used my tech 1A to clear it. Rich

ALDL CODE-CLEARING TECHNIQUE
When using this code-clearing technique, a digital wristwatch can be quite helpful. The timing sequence discussed below is very important to successfully clearing codes. The watch can help you with timing the 3-second intervals more exactly. 1.Turn ignition "OFF". 2. Ground ALDL terminal "K". 3. Turn ignition "ON". 4. Wait for codes to begin flashing (approximately 5 seconds). When codes begin flashing, unground ALDL terminal "K" for 3 seconds +/- 1/2 second. 5. After ungrounding terminal "K" as described in Step 4, ground it again for 3 seconds +/- 1/2 second. 6. Unground ALDL terminal "K", and wait 10 seconds. Before turning ignition "OFF", verify that Code 12 flashes six (6) times. If Code 12 does not flash six (6) times, codes have not been cleared properly. Begin clearing procedure again starting with Step 1.

Hi Mark, you've received some great advice so far. Yes, it's certainly possible that you have all of those issues. My 90 with <50K miles had a similar number of issues when I bought it last year.
