My Heater is excellent!
I usually bitch about the HVAC on these C4's...but when I for some reason lost a bolt to my targa top today, I elected to drive home tonight across Houston with it off, rather than leave one of the rear bolts off. I once had a t-top blow off my old camaro and didn't want to repeat that again with the targa.
Outside temp was a perfect 50 degrees and with the heat on full I was toasty warm. Sweet. So I ordered a new bolt and insulator...Ecklers also shows a retainer, but the other side of my top doesn't have that, just the insulator and bolt. Any idea if that retainer is an add on or if it is something I am missing, which caused me to lose the bolt? I take this top off like once a year, and this time only because my son was begging. So I'm not really sure whether those bolts are intended to come all the way out or not.

Sounds like you're missing the retainers. My Steel Blue 1991 was missing one when I bought it. Guess where I found a spare?

My other 1991 was nice enough to give one up.

Re: My Heater is excellent!
I was hoping my clear top had another bolt, but nope. My LT4 car is long gone.
