Re: Finally Heads are Done
Far as driving in traffic goes, using the Fidanza vs. stock dual mass... I initially noticed just a little (teansy) difference in the necessary throttle and clutch let-out, the first drive or two. Now, it is assimilated, and innocueous.
That said, I do like the snappy accelleration. And, if one is considering a 4.10 gear, the reduced rotating mass would make even more sense, I guess. I like mine...a lot. No plans to return to stock FW. YMMV P.

Re: Finally Heads are Done
Fidanza's Rule -- Just have to get use to the dreaded "gear rattle".
Having a nice ceramic clutch from Carolina Clutch helps a lot as well IMO.

Given where stock displacement motors are registering with just porting, I would agree 450rwhp is probably low when factoring in an additional 30ci. Will you be datalogging and using a WB? |

How bad is the gear rattle. Will I always think something is about to blow apart? |

Re: Finally Heads are Done
I don't notice it, its probably only audible to those sissies that also need 10 layers of quiet mat and exhaust mods to silence "the drone"
Go buy a damn Prius if you want quiet.....

If it gets louder at idle, its after a long run when trans fluid is hot. Also using the right trans fluid helps. I use the BMW Castrol 10W-60. |
