Default Battery cable question

The threads on the threaded bolt on my negative battery cable appear to have worn down to the point that the cable cannot be held tight against the battery. Is it possible to replace the bolt or will I need to replace the entire negative battery cable? Any thoughts are appreciated.

You can buy replacement bolts at the auto parts store. I just replaced both of mine the other day.

It can be a little annoying to get the bolt out of the plastic (actually, it's more annoying getting the new one tucked into the plastic), but they are replaceable. If you can't find one at an auto parts store, any GM dealer should have them for a reasonable price.

I havent looked at mine specifically but usually, i just put a little oil or wd40 on them and they pop out and back in much more easily..if you don't, they can fight ya.
