Default my rear hatch release hates me

Ok...my rear hatch release button only works from the passenger's side..the one on the driver's doesn't and neither does the button inside the console..anyone have a solution?? i checked the fuses...they are okay..guess it must be the switches?? thanks in advance..keith

If it is the switch they are quite often on ebay......

Is it possible that when you try it from the passenger side the engine is not running? Try setting the hand brake on and then try the driver side button again. If the passenger side is working under the same conditions and the driver side does not then I would suggest that the switches are bad. If you have the tech manual check if they have a common wire going from those 2 switches.

Once I thought my console switch was bad because I had the engine running without the hand brake on.
