Reading more it also looks like Camaro SS rotors are a better choice than the Z06's. It looks like the V pad is larger than the contact area on the Z06 rotor.

Carter fromm CT Machining made me a perfect set of hub centic wheels spacers. I needed them to correct the offset on my C6 Z06 OEM wheels & brakes.

I am guessing it is...LS1 would include the vette.........although the reason many are not doing the mod is the lug difference, but that is overcome with using the 14" corvette rotor

The 5th gen Camaro has the exact same brakes as the CTS-V. Some V owners use the Camaro rotor when doing a 5-lug swap (wheel selection, etc, is limiting with the 6-lug). Dunno if the SS hub size is the same as on a C4 though?

And yeah, that car is a 4th gen Firebird. So who knows if it will actually work on a Corvette without some crazy amount of adapting.

I am guessing we would see alot of these if it were easy...I saw a note that said the caliper bolts were not the same orientation as Corvette

This evalation was made available by Quantum Motorsports in Schererville, In. On a C6Z this looks very problematic. Now whether an adapter could be designed to position the caliper closer to the hub as is described below:

"Okay. The calipers will physically fit the spindle. i.e. the mounting holes are spaced exactly the same between the two cars. However on the Cadillac the position of the holes is much closer to the centerline of the hub. This means the "ears" on the caliper are much longer than that of the Corvette. So when the caliper is placed on the corvette spindle you would need a 16.5" diameter rotor (or so) to fit the setup. That is just unmanageably big. Then there would be the whole wheel issue...

So basically they just won't work. Unless you want clown-size rotors and wheels on the front of your Z06. Some may... but personally I hate clowns. Maybe because my doctor's office as a child was decorated with clown pictures.... Could be a whole Pavlovian thing....

Anyway the lesson is clowns are bad and you don't want these brakes on your Z06."

I really like the idea of using OEM components for brake upgrades - makes it simple when you need replacement rotors and pads. I thought I heard somewhere that the Camaro/TA hub assembly was very close to the C4 - might have been the previous gen though. I have a mechanic buddy with a 2010 Camaro SS, I'll have to ask him what he thinks of all this.

Very similar. I have 1.5" gap between back of Z06 wheel and caliper face.
