New ZR1 owner. I've owned 3 N.C.R.S Top Flight Vettes. 1 - 65 / 1 -68 / 1 - 70 & I have always done my oil changes. Someone in ZR1 land tell me the correct way to change the oil in my 1990. I've been told it held 12 quarts & the owners manual says 8.6 quarts. Do you have to drain it overnite ??? What's up ?? ---- Rob

Welcome Rob When you change the oil about 3.4 qts. stays in the engine. You can not get it out. |

Allow a couple of hours after the engine has been running and then drain until it no longer runs out! 9 quarts with the filter does fine. My'91 uses a touch of oil at high RPM's, and I exercise her often!
Enjoy! Johnny B |
