I have a oil leak that appears to be coming from the area around the the sensor. Are there any tricks or tips in in replacing the gasket / O ring? And where can that gasket be bought?
thanks in advance. |

It looks like a standard Viton 'O' ring, pull out the old sensor and take it down to the local Napa or Kragen.
Make sure to get Viton, I don't think BunaN would handle the oil and the heat. Here's a pic of the sensor, I pirated it off of Jerry's website: ![]() TomC 'Crabs Last edited by tccrab; 02-07-2011 at 08:54 PM. |

Thanks Tom.. I got an email from Jerry and he gave me the size for the ''O'' ring. He mentions the "Buna-N size: AS558-017. So what do you think here?

Steve:
If Jerry says Buna-N will work then it will work. Seems to be a standard size, 11/16 x 1/16, any parts store should have 'em. TomC |

Thanks guys. What I know about Viton or Buna-N ...it's all Greek to me. When you don't know about something surround yourself with people who do. I appreciate the help.
