Lift delivered today (8/17)>>>
So the lift install party is on for Saturday 8/22. Thanks to what ever that my next door neighbor and friend owns a large asphalt paving company and he had a BobCat with driver off load the lift...all 1750 lbs of it. Of course anybody who came come by to to help with the install is going to be treated with smoke ribs/food/beer etc. Let me know if you can come by

I'll be there. Hope you took good notes with pics. I will be going through this goat rope in a few months and would like to know the best way to get this beast into my garage. I don't have use of a Bobcat though Rich

Rich,
Glad to help you... but you need to figure out how to take delivery of the lift. Truck company will bring the thing to you house (meaning road in front of house..no driveway delivery) then the rest is up to you...they do not off load etc. and since these lifts run about 1700-1800 pounds (all the pieces are bundled as one 'package'>> you will need a fork lift or a bobcat with forks to unload (no they do not permitted un-bundling in the truck to remove piece by piece)

Yeah, I may be taking Phil's advice and utilizing my friends car trailer and picking up the lift at the freight company. I have very low hanging wires on my street. The last time I had a large truck delliver my air compressor, the top of the trailer ripped down my neighbors phone and cable lines That makes you real popular with your neighbors!!!
