What's so special here?
Wondering what's so special about this car that it commands over $18k as of this morning. Most who have been selling these cars on Ebay for the past year haven't been able to get over $11k-$14k final bids. Presentation, color combo, chrome wheels. WTF

Re: What's so special here?
It's an old Barret/Jackson trick.
Have your friends bid it up. Pete

But the price doesn't seem way out of line, check out these '90 Z's, 2 went for over $20K and 1 went for almost $17K. Pretty good I think for the state of the economy right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks

Re: What's so special here?
It's decently low miles (55k), it looks great in the photos, it is more or less unmodified (chrome wheels obviously aren't), and it is from a dealer. It also has a nice description and they documented the service history that they are aware of.
So yes, I'd guess it is the presentation that is key here. That said, $18k with two days left does seem unusual in general for an eBay auction...

No doubt it is the red/gray with chrome wheels combo, they are just worth more in today's market. |

Re: What's so special here?
Wonder if this gorgeous 2500 mile 95 AB will make it to the reserve?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270442113919 I'll bet my spare dip stick tube seal it won't. Last edited by Jagdpanzer; 08-17-2009 at 06:03 PM. Reason: added bet |
