Talking What's so special here?

Wondering what's so special about this car that it commands over $18k as of this morning. Most who have been selling these cars on Ebay for the past year haven't been able to get over $11k-$14k final bids. Presentation, color combo, chrome wheels. WTF

It's an old Barret/Jackson trick.
Have your friends bid it up.

I agree.
It's called "Shill Bidding" and he's trying to run the price right up to the reserve.

You gotta be careful doing that on Ebay. I think they track your IP address. If they catch you at it, your account gets suspended. My brother got his Ebay account suspended after he had one of his friends bid on something of his. I don't know how they knew, maybe my brother's friend made the mistake of logging on to his account at our house.

But the price doesn't seem way out of line, check out these '90 Z's, 2 went for over $20K and 1 went for almost $17K. Pretty good I think for the state of the economy right now.

It's decently low miles (55k), it looks great in the photos, it is more or less unmodified (chrome wheels obviously aren't), and it is from a dealer. It also has a nice description and they documented the service history that they are aware of.

So yes, I'd guess it is the presentation that is key here.

That said, $18k with two days left does seem unusual in general for an eBay auction...

No doubt it is the red/gray with chrome wheels combo, they are just worth more in today's market.

Wonder if this gorgeous 2500 mile 95 AB will make it to the reserve?

I'll bet my spare dip stick tube seal it won't.
