I have a 1990 ZR1 that was already lowered when I purchased it. It is too low for the streets of New york as i am destroying the underside of the Beast. It looks great and probably handles better but i am ready to sacrifice the looks and handling for some smoother riding. How can i raise the ride height back to OEM specs? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Mario |

Hi Mario it depends on how it was lowered. On the rear a bolt down kit is usually used and that can be removed to return the cars rear to stock height but how was the front lowered?

Hi GOLDCYLON thanks for the reply. I really dont know how the front was lowered, but if it was lowered by the kit they sell , is it as simple as just pulling out the rubber shims? How can i tell?
Thanks Mario |

As with lowering the car, the rear is easy, the front is a bit*h.
To lower the car, longer bolts are used in the rear. All you probably need to do is move the adjusting nut. The front transverse spring probably had the two rubber shims replaced, so you will probably need a new spring with stock shims. You have to raise the front of the car WAY up to arch out (and in) the spring. |
