Help with ZR-1 wheels from fathers estate.
My father passed away last week and in my inheritance I got an 1987 corvette and other things along with it. But, I think these are OEM ZR1 wheels I'm just not sure any help would be great. I only have one front and one rear. I cant find the other two. Also, any value would be great to know.
Here is a pic of the Rear Wheel Inside the rim LM JPN 10214047 AFS 17.2x11x36 BFG Comp T/A 315/35ZR17 Tire mounted on it. Here is the specs and pic on the front wheel 10214045 AFS LM JPM 17.2x9.5x56 BFG Comp T/A 275/40ZR17 Tire on it. I have a couple questions. 1. Are these real GM ZR-1 wheels? 2. I have a 2000 lowered Camaro SS none convertible. Will these wheels fit it? 3. If they are real ZR-1 what should I ask for on the price? Thanks. |

Re: Help with ZR-1 wheels from fathers estate.
Sorry to hear about your father.
Except for the center cap, they look GM to me. Someone will chime in on the part # though, but I think it's correct. A set of four, I'd guess in the $1000+ ballpark if they are in great shape. That front looks like it either has a cobweb on it, or a cracked finish. I've no idea on the SS, but the rears will fit the '87 'vette, and the fronts would require an adapter that's easy to find from the usual Corvette catalogs.

I cant see the pictures Photobucket is blocked at my work. They wont fit the Camaro the rears would stick out significantly beyond the fenders for both the fronts and the rears and the car is lowered so now you talking clearnce issues as well. The numbers are correct do you see a JWL marking on the front of the wheels? As a complete set they are worth about $1200 to the right buyer especially if they have the JWL markings. As a front and rear seperate the rear is worth about $250-$300 and the Front is worth about $150-$175.

Re: Help with ZR-1 wheels from fathers estate.
If you look closely you will see the JWL on the rear wheel picture. These look to be a little marked up, so I would anticipate them bringing on the lower end of the price range. You might want to clean them up, polish them and then shoot some more pictures of all 4.
They appear to be real and as stated above will not fit your Camaro.

Re: Help with ZR-1 wheels from fathers estate.
Hey guys thank you so much for the replys. They have been sitting up for a couple years in the garage. The wheels have dirt and cob webs on them. They should clean up and look spotless. That one spot that looks like a crack is a cob webb. I have not had a chance to clean them yet.
