Default WTB: ZR-1 EPROM

I am looking for a 91 ZR-1 eprom part # 16193416 AKA 3417 BFXB. If you have one for sale, please PM me. Also interested in finding a blank Eprom 27C256. Thanks.

Sgreg,

Do you need the stock prom or a copy of it? BTW, I have a 27c512.

I would prefer the stock prom. Is the "512" the same as the 256 only faster transfer ? Thanks, please PM me with prices.

The 512 is just a prom with 512kb rather than 256kb. Same chip, more space. What are you using it for?

To download a performance prom. I really need the stock eprom more than the blank.

Do you have the capability to burn the calibration? I think Todd P has a stock 91 calibration. Unless you use a Moates adapter to use an eeprom you need the whole prom carrier with a prom that has your needed calibration burned into it. Another way is to cantact Marc H and have a custom calibration done by him, I believe if you send him yours he will program it to your car.

Sgreg,

You have two ways to go. Either get a stock prom, erase it and upload your new cal OR, get a Moates adapter and install an auxiliary chip onto the stock prom

The advantage to using the adapter and an eeprom is that it can be erased and programed using lower voltages. The stock prom has to be erased using a UV device and programed using a higher current burner. It is usually cheaper and easier to have someone who already has the equipment do it for you.
