Re: cooling system issue ?????
Are you positive that you coolant system is full and properly vented. The high coolant tank (behind and above the passenger side front tire) must be full.
The vent line to the "overflow bottle" (small plastic tank forward of and below the passenger side front tire) must be connected and allowing flow. The overflow bottle must be partially full of coolant. When the engine is at operating temperature, the level in the overflow bottle should be above 1/2. When the engine cools off to room temperature, the coolant should be pulled back from the overflow bottle into the high coolant tank. The engine temperature gauge should be at about 1/2 scale when the engine is at operating temperture (unless you are using a lowered temp thermostat). Jim |

Re: cooling system issue ?????
The low coolant light is lit by a switch in the bottom of the upper tank. Your cooling system is not full; best replace the upper tank cap with a correct new one. It will take several cool off cycles for the upper tank to fill from the lower tank. When everything is correctly filled, the lower tank dip stick should show "full" when the engine is cold.
