Mice! About that time again!
My wife Ami found signs of a mouse in her Buick this w/e. For those of us living in the sticks, I guess it is about that time again - time to go get the "One Bite" and some peppermint oil!
Mice have really reigned havoc on some of our vehicles over the years, so I get a little hyper about seeing mice in the garage and especially if there's signs of them inside of the cars. Forget about Decon. The stuff has to be relatively safe for pets, I guess; the mice eat it - and wiring like candy. Within just a few days the stuff called "One Bite" (I get at Farm and Fleet and sometimes WalMart) ridded me of one of the worst infestations I could have imagined, a few years back. My regime has been refined over the years to putting One Bite in the garage and other out buildings in typical crawl spaces along the walls where mice tend to travel, and using repellents in the cars and under the hood, e.g. Bounce dryer sheets, and lately Peppermint oil on cotton balls seems to work the best so far. (I find the peppermint oil in the cooking section of some grocery stores and the drug store. A tiny bit of the peppermint oil goes a long way...trust me!) Anywayz...If this info keeps someone from having to replace a wiring harness - especially on one of our beloved Zs - well, that be a good thing. P. |
