Anyone else see this? $1,100 for a 6-piston setup that sounds like it will fit under most wheels. And it uses C5/6 pads. Any opinions on this as an upgrade? I'd assume it is not as heavy duty as a larger caliper, but if it's on par with something like the older Brembo 4-pistons, that's not bad at all for the price.

It doesn't say anything about the rotors used though.

I have the 6S which is a monoblock caliper - it came with 2 rotors and the price was about $3,000.

I'd jump on that 6P 6 piston setup in a heartbeat and pair it with the 13" Eradispeed rotors. That option was not around when I went with my 6S.

Looks like a nice deal, I like that you can use off the shelf pads and rotors.

I took their template and cut it out on some cardboard. It appears to clear my AFS 5-spokes just fine. The stock salad shooters, ehh not so much. Though it's down near the hub where it hits and I don't think the template acurately represents that part? The spare tire was also close. It didn't fit, but barely.

I've a question. If you replaced the fronts with these 6-pots, all else stock, would this mean when you apply the brake pedal, the rears would get more braking than before, or less?

I'm not sure of their 6 piston calipler, but the stock c6 Z06 that I have way over power the rears. I have a 14x1.250 rotor. This 13x1.1 rotor might be way better for balance front to rear. And if you dont need 18" wheel, nice.

Yeah, so the torque applied should not really change as it's the same rotor and a reasonably similar pad. What I thought might make a difference is the change in how much fluid needs to be moved to activate 6 pistons vs 2, and what does that mean for the rear brakes?

If I applied the brakes to slow at say a .5g rate with the stock setup, then did the same with these 6-pot calipers, would the rears be doing more work in the 2nd example, or less?

What I am really asking, is will just changing the caliper change the brake balance for the worse?

I also wonder, would this change the fade/heat capacity very much? It's still the same rotor. I can see the benefits from more even pad pressure, no sliding caliper, and less caliper flex. So the brakes might feel better or more even. But the stock system can lock up the wheels already, but is apparently prone to fade. Will this upgrade address that?

For anyone who cares to answer, if you were to spend $1000 on brakes, and assume you had an existing system in good order (i.e. your rotors aren't already trashed or something), how would you spend it?

I do wonder how it affects the bias and if it won't make stops longer due to the rears contributing less? But whatever, a 6-piston setup for a grand, how can I find fault with that? I wish I was smarter though, then maybe I'd know exactly what I want to do with the car and be done with it...
