WooHoo!!! What stumbling??
I got out in this zero degree weather to see how she ran on the road after the new coils and plug wires....smooth as a baby's butt and runs LIKE A BEAST!!!
As far as I know, it didn't miss a single beat on several 7k run-ups, and the acid test; 6th gear at 55 mph and floor it (used to NEVER be able to get close to doing that without some pretty violent cut-outs and missing). The fast idle was due to "some blockhead" leaving the power brake booster hose unhooked. (That makes TWO items...Can we say "checklist" next time?) I reconnected it, the idle immediately dropped to a happy level, and - it just ran terrific! Now, owning an 18 year old, limited edition vehicle would be a daunting thing, were it not for this forum and the likes of you ol Z nuts that put me onto possible problems and the parts to correct them. Thank you all for your help!! Now...mebby next season we'll do the P&P/chip/headers thing. IN the mean time, I'm looking forward to a few excursions in the new toy, now that she's a happy camper! P. Re: WooHoo!!! What stumbling??
Nice when things get sorted out. I bet that baby ran like wildfire in freezing temps.
