Narrow tube watsons. The big indicator is the welded sections as they are made of a mild steel. The Jeal and SW headers are a stainless steel and are not sectioned like that.

The narrow tubes were really designed for cars that were not going to go above headers and some porting work.

Would they restrict performance with ported heads? Does this mean there were large tube Watsons as well?

I can't speak to performance. But most all of the LT5 headers use 2" diameter primary pipes. Watson apparently offered two sizes. I think 1 7/8" or 1 3/4" and then the 2". My impression is they sold the narrower ones first, and then replaced them with the 2", but I'm guessing on that.

I believe the Jeal and Stainless Works only ever came in 2".

To clarify, I was referring to LT headers. The Callaway header/cats used 1 3/4" pipes, and I don't know what size the stock manifolds are.

Are those the narrower primaried Watsons? Or are my eyes poorly calibrated?
