All,
Is this board going to be the de facto forum for the new ZR1? If so, what are we doing to promote this? ![]() |

From what I have heard. No. But that has not been set in stone.

I think we should, builds on the legacy of the car. Also would give us more leverge at events and bring back recognition to the 90-95 cars. I think the fact that GM chose the ZR-1 name based upon the heritage and the fact that it represented the best that GM and corvette had to offer means alot.
Its kind of like a frat house, they're in because they're a legacy. Frat House is fitting since there are a few of us on double secret probation.......Mr. Jeffvette LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 Last edited by LGAFF; 12-28-2007 at 12:19 AM. |

I have heard both arguements for and against, and I see what each side is saying and understand why. My personal opion is no, as they are really not that special in a unique way. I would love to have one, but it just isn't a 90-95 ZR-1. Just as the 90-95 ZR-1 isn't the same as the 70's ZR1. |

How man other vettes came with a factory blower? This is like your best friend naming their son after you and then telling him you won't be their godparent because they may not live up to your expecations........200mph vette...that's special!
This was a special project car as was the 90s Z. I am not 100% sold on the appearance, don't care for the hood,as it doesn't showcase the engine, and the wheels in chrome I can pass on....but performance wise ![]() LGAFF |

The only thing in common is the RPO code. There's little to no technical commonality. The forum and community is excellent for helping people out with problems, performance, etc. There would be no cross-over in this sort of thing with the new car.
Other than being fellow 'vette owners, I don't see the point? And there are plenty of forums that cater to all fellow 'vette owners already. My two cents. |
