Default Add AIR tubing to headers?

I have a '93 ZR-1 than has headers installed, EGR still connected but the AIR connections are nonesistant. Rather than purchase OEM maniflods (expensive), can I just add tubing, check valves, etc. to the headers?

Thanks,

Thanks,
absolutely, LPE did this mod as did DRM on the ZR-1s with headers.

I still have some of the old "plumbing" around too if you are missing some parts. weld in some little bungs and the plumbing can be fabricated to look pretty close to stock. although technically not emissions legal, I haven't had any problems getting these cars with headers to pass. most techs have never even seen an LT5 and the wide heads hide the headers pretty well.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. Most folks are telling me not to worry at all, since the AIR system is only active at startup and the missing plumbing is not obvious.
