Default Thanks to the Net Registry for a great Carlisle Show

I got back from my first Corvettes at Carlisle Show. WHAT A FANTASTIC WEEKEND! I met a lot of great people and got to see a whole lot of ZR-1's.

There is nothing better that talking vettes with ZR-1 folks and eating burgers right in the Net Registry Tent. We talked to a lot of non-ZR-1 guys that were impressed with the presentation and hospitality of the ZR-1 community.

Thanks to GM for sending six of the ZR-1's from their Heritage Collection. Many people stopped to look at them and in the process learned about ZR-1's

Thank you to all the folks that worked hard and long to make it a great weekend.

Now some pics:

From the hilltop looking at a LOT of Corvettes. If you have never been to Carlisle, it is hard to understand the size of this show. It is awesome!!!

Am I correct in saying that the Z06's are all coupes? I think that they are. I suspect that GM can't get the "stock" chassis to be stiff enough in the convertible model to handle the forces of the high power engines. They didn't want to have to add bracing to make the convertible stiffer, BUT heavier and more costly.

yeah all the C5 and C6 Z06s are coupes back in 1999 i think it was they came out with the FRC or fixed roof coupe which was the design the Z06 was based on only the Z06 had a more powerful engine the LS6 as opposed to the FRC's LS1.
